What to write about

The studio reads every message. The useful ones fall into four groups:

• A method. A step that worked differently in your room, your darkroom or your shooting day, with the detail that changed it.
• A correction. A specification, a number or a date in an entry that no longer matches the published source.
• A plate. A question about a photograph, a print, or the way an entry is illustrated.
• A session. A room, a print run or a small shoot you would like the studio to look at.

How to send it

Send the entry address together with your message, so the note lands against the right page. A short paragraph is enough; a photograph of the setup is better still.

Messages are answered in the order they arrive, and a correction that checks out is filed with the entry it concerns.
